Davis Beach at the Apple Valley Lake

Davis Beach is one of the three sand beaches at the Apple Valley that is perfect for swimming, sun tanning, playing, fishing, and having fun in the sun. It has a large swimming area of about 200 feet. The total common area frontage is about 700 feet. Davis Beach has many recreational structures including a volleyball court, a playground and a picnic shelter.

The sand volleyball court is a great place to play ball with family and friends. It is available on first come, first serve basis and you will need to bring your own ball. For younger children who are too small to play the sport, there is a playground equipped with a see-saw on the beach. For those who may get sun burned easily, or looking to escape the direct sun during the day, there is a shaded area near the shore along with the covered picnic shelter. Fishermen can utilize the docks on the right and left of the beach.

Davis Beach is a great place to bring guests, family and friends. To get to Davis from the front entrance, turn left on Apple Valley Drive, stay on Apple Valley Drive for about 2 miles, then turn right onto Ridgeway Drive and just drive straight about 3/8ths of a mile and you will see Davis Beach and the lake straight ahead.

If small children are too young to participate in some of the sports, there is a playground with two sets of swings and slides to play on. Pets are also welcome at the designated pet area which is slightly left of the beach.

Fishers will enjoy a boardwalk style fishing pier that the beach has to offer. The pier is equipped with docks attached and they are available for property owner usage for temporary docking (less than 24 hours). The picnic shelter is a great place for parties with picnic tables and barbeque grills. There is a bathhouse located inside the shelter for swimmers to rinse off and change clothes after being in the lake.

Sutton Beach is a great place to bring family or friends with all of its fun activities it has to offer. To get to Sutton Beach from the entrance to Apple Valley, turn left on Apple Valley Drive, take a right onto Baldwin Drive, and soon after you will see a sign on the right for Sutton Beach.
